What I Do

You can read my bio blurb about what I’ve done in the past including previous companies here and a list of the events I speak at try to attend is here.

Below is what I am excited to be currently doing businesswise:

Rummble

Rummble has developed technology which works out who you trust for different things, called trust network technology. Rummbles first consumer service, of the same name, makes it easy for you to find stuff nearby you like, especially via mobile (because mobile is the future of the internet) it is free to use and you can signup for Rummble online here, download Rummble for iPhone free from your iTunes App store, visit m.Rummble.com on your mobile, with more native mobile versions are to follow soon.

Rummble has also launched an experiment based around Twitter called Tremors. Tremors tries to work out what’s going on at different venues according to Twitter activity. Its a bit of fun at the moment, but learnings will feed back into the Rummble trust platform, Rummble API and Rummble recommendations service.

Are you a developer?

Rummble has a Location Based Services API which makes it easy to store and retrieve location related content, also to interrogate the Rummble database. Rummble is also launching a Trust API to enable third parties to utilise the Rummble trust technology for their own services. All APIs are currently free of charge to use.

UnLtdWorld

I sit on the Board of this exciting social enterprise start-up. It is run by the very talented Alberto Nardelli who also Co-Founded Tweetminster. UnLtdWorld helps social entrepreneurs to connect and to share information in a more efficient way.

• The members of our community share their insight, experiences and interests and tell us what they need to succeed.

• We sort, match and connect, in real-time, the people, tools and information on our platform to the members to whom they are most relevant

• Once connected, members can collaborate and trade services online, working together to grow their businesses and increase the impact they have in the real world.

m.Love

mLove Society is a movement that brings together people with a passion for mobile from around the world. With a focus on small format conferences, local meet-ups and by-annual gatherings – m.LOVE brings together mobile passionistas in an atmosphere of communication, learning and understanding. m.LOVE participants debate the future of mobile -and indeed, our world at large- and how little things can make the world a better place.

Founded in January 2009, m.LOVE was initiated by Harald Neidhardt, CMO & Co-Founder of Smaato Inc. Harald is driving forward the notion that passionate people thrive on inspiration and exchange of ideas in a free flow environment with peers.

I was  privelaged to be  invited to the first mLove session in Munich in January 2009. Since then we had a second group meeting in Barcelona in June 2009; this included planning for the first mLove Conference in 2010 – more details soon.

Opidian Realm

I moonlight as an occasional advisor for Opidian Realm is a small and imperfectly formed web consultancy based in Cambridge, England. It was born out of my previous consultancy, Urban Horizon (yes, hence the name of my blog!).

Servicing clients in Cambridge and London, Opidian Realm specialises in providing an ultra-personal service, from domain name registration to full web site development and build.

It is a web agency for SMEs who understand little or nothing about the internet and would rather focus on their core business than understand the technology – Opidian Realm allows those businesses to do business online and offline, more effectively.
